Wāhine Hauora: Tick Something Off Your Hauora List This September

Date: 3 Sep 2026 - 30 Sep 2026
Location: Tauranga Moana City GP Clinic & Te Akau Hauora GP Clinic

What’s one thing you’ve been meaning to tick off your hauora list?

Between mahi, whānau and everything else life brings, it can be easy to put your own hauora last.

This September, we’re encouraging wāhine to make some time for themselves and tick one thing off their hauora list.

Whether it’s booking a health check, getting your cervical screening up to date, checking in on your breast or sexual health, or simply having a kōrero with someone who can provide tautoko — this is your reminder to make time for you.

You can either book an appointment or drop in:

  • Tauranga Moana City GP Clinic: Drop in Monday–Friday, 8.30am–12.00pm or 3.30pm–4.30pm, or book an appointment.
  • Te Akau Hauora GP Clinic: By appointment only.

What could you tick off this September?

  • Wāhine Health Check: Check in on your overall hauora. This can include blood pressure, weight, mental wellbeing, lifestyle kōrero, and an assessment of your risk of diabetes and heart disease.
  • Cervical Screening: If you’re due or overdue for your cervical screening, now is a good time to tick cervical screening off your list. Cervical screening can help detect changes early, before they become a problem.
  • Breast Health Check or Kōrero: Have a kōrero about your breast health, check any changes or concerns, or discuss whether a mammogram referral may be right for you.
  • Sexual Health Check or Kōrero: Have a confidential kōrero about your sexual and reproductive health, including STI testing and treatment, contraception, whānau planning or menstrual health.
  • Kōrero with a HIP: Sometimes the first step is simply having a kōrero. Our Health Improvement Practitioners can provide support with stress, sleep, wellbeing, healthy routines, long-term health conditions or anything else that’s on your mind.
  • Kōrero with our Clinic Whānau Care Team: Need some tautoko or not sure where to start? Have a kōrero with our Clinic Whānau Care Team (tākuta or nēhi) and get support with whatever is affecting your hauora.

For enrolled wāhine. Eligibility criteria apply.
